Bible Study for Christian Women and Pastors Wives - I am Looking to God, Part 6
Today, I returned from a driving trip of about 1,800 miles. My little chihuahua, Big Dawg, was waiting for me on the front porch. He was super excited to see me. He danced, jumped around, rolled over for a tummy rub. Then, he started kissing me. He was genuinely glad to see me. Anyone could have seen that in his reaction. My husband told me Big Dawg looked for me every day, jumped in my chair, and waited for me on the top step pf the porch. That brings me to a very serious question. Are we, God's children, as excited at the mere thought of The Lord's return? Or is it something that going to interfere with our plans? Big Dawg was ready every minute for my return. Are we that ready? Jesus promised to come back. It is a blessed hope. "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." Titus 2:13. I am excitedly looking to God for the return of His Son, Jesus Christ. Are you? Are we ready for Him to come back at any minute? He could and one minute, He will. Be blessed in The Name above every name, Jesus! I know I am! Linda L Culbreth p.s. - Feel free to share with others. And as always, your comments are welcome. God has directed me to write a Christian work of fiction regarding the civil war. The title ~ The Unknown Soldier. Right at this moment, I will continue with Who I Am in Christ weekdays, and do The Unknown Soldier weekends. As always, each post will be saved in the archives. Here is your chance to comment on a novel as it is literally being written. I look forward to this fun time together and your friends! LLC
