Bible Study: Christian Women & Pastors Wives - I Am Not My Own, Part 2 1 Corinthians 6:19 "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." In Part 1 of I Am Not My Own, I left off with the words: I was not a "freebie." I was not an end-of-the-yard-sale discounted item. The price of an expensive piece of property, or a fancy car, or jet pales in comparison to my price tag. What was I bought with? What was the currency? If you visit a foreign country, you normally have to exchange your country's currency into that country's currency. No, I wasnot bought with U.S. dollars. No, I was not bought with pesos. No, I was not bought with Euros. No, I was not bought with Canadian dollars. No, I was not bought with yens or even rupees. No, there was no earthly currency. I was bought with heavenly currency! And, there is no currency chart that converts the price paid for me into the equivalent of heavenly currency! 1 Peter 1:18-19 "For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." Be blessed in The Name above every name, Jesus! I know I am! Linda Culbreth
