Bible Study: Christian Women & Pastors Wives - I Am Not My Own, Part 4 No, I am not my own, I belong to God. He paid the Heavenly price, ransom - if you will - the death of Jesus Christ. Why? John 3:16 gives us that answer. "For God so loved the world (including me), that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The result: Everlasting life! On a journey over to Bald Knob Cross in Alto Pass, Illinois, this past Saturday morning, my husband and I were each given a small gift from 3 or 4 year-old Emma Sue. Her folks are the caregivers of the 111 foot cross standing there. The gift was a penny + 3 small, copper crosses. "The penny is for The One sent, and the three crosses are for God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit," she told us with a beautiful smile. As I reflect on that tiny package, I wonder if I am a good caregiver of The Temple of The Living God? What goes in my ears and eyes, and mouth, what I do, what I say - everything. Maybe you learned this little chorus as a child, too. (I think it may be in public domain.) It's time to pull it out of mothballs and sing it to The Lord - don't forget the motions! Oh, be careful little eyes, what you see. (Point to eyes.) Oh, be careful little eyes, what you see. For The a Father up above, is looking down in love, (Point up and then cross your arms over your heart) So be careful little eyes, what you see. (Point to eyes) Oh, be careful little ears what you hear Oh, be careful little mouth what you say... Oh, be careful little hands what you touch... Oh, be careful little feet where you go... Oh, be careful little heart what you love... Oh, be careful little mind what you think... The truth is, I am not my own, I belong to God. Be blessed in The Name above every name, Jesus. I know I am!
