Bible Study for Christian Women and Pastors Wives - I Am His Branch, Part 2
John 15: 1- 6 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. 5 I am the Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." When walking at the park the other day, I saw a tree with many very live branches. The branches were covered in leaves. But this one branch stood out. It was "naked." It had no leaves. The little twigs were brittle. It looked like the park service needed to remove it before it fell on someone. I have no idea what caused that one branch to loose all life. I just know that it did. When I see a Christian who was so love with The Lord, not be so in love with Him anymore, I know something is wrong. Did they stop reading The Bible? Did they stop worshiping Him? Did they stop spending time in fellowship with Him? Did the cares of the world interfere? Did they get where they thought they could live life without His help? "As soon as we think we can handle it (life) on our own, we become useless to Him." - Nancy Leigh DeMoss Prayer: "Lord, I want to make sure when I look in the mirror of my life I see a vibrancy because I am in close fellowship with You, God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit. When others look at my life,I want them to see only You." Be blessed in The Name Above Every Name, Jesus! I know I am! Linda L Culbreth
