Bible Study for Christian Women and Pastors Wives - I Am His Righteousness, Part 2
Most everybody who has been around churches and Bible studies for any length of time know something about Abraham. Or at least have heard his name. I am not going to bring up his sin. Some call them "mistakes", God calls them sin. We are not even going to go over how long it took from the promise made to the promise fulfilled. We are not going over his journeys, not his encounters with rulers and people of influence. We are not going to go over his wealth, his flocks, or even the number of servants. But there is one verse we are going to go over. That verse is Genesis 15:6. It's a great epitaph for a tombstone! It's a great way to live life! It's a great verse to personalize by exchanging the first personal pronoun "he" for your own name. It's a great verse to memorize. It's a great verse to meditate on, think about, and pray. Here it is: "And he (Abraham) believed in the LORD; and He (God) counted it to Him (God) for righteousness." Personalized: "And I, Linda, believed in The LORD; and He counted it to Him for righteousness." Tomorrow - how to win the race. Be blessed in The Name above every name, Jesus! I know I am!
