Bible Study for Christian Women and Pastors Wives - I am Looking to God, Part 1
My husband arrived in the living room just as the news came on. * More storms and hot weather * Shuttle (bus) crash sends many to the hospital * Two women cook meth in a church * Army man on death row wants to join a terrorist group * Joan Rivers is in critical condition * Youth pastor charged with possession of child porn "Honey," he said, "I've seen nothing but bad news since I came in here." I had been reading in Micah. It's a little book in the Old Testament with a huge message: because of sin, things were bad and only going to get worse. Judgment was coming. It was inevitable. Was all the bad stuff in the news a result of sin? Some, yes. All? I don't know. Over in the last chapter of Micah, Micah 7, we are given the answer. It was bad in Micah's day, both in northern and southern Israel. The lack of including God in life was a major, if not the major, problem during Micah's day. It seems to be a major problem today. Case in point: The news showed the attendance board for the church with the hidden meth lab. Last Sunday there were only 12 present. What's the answer? It's the same as it was in Micah's day and it is found in Micah 7:7. "Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me." Be blessed in The Name above every name, Jesus! I know I am! Linda L Culbreth
