Bible Study for Ministry, Christian Women, and The Pastor's Wife ~ I Am Am Praying to Change the Course, Part 4 If you do not know what to pray, then you might try praying The Word of God. Authors like it when folks read their books - even out loud to them. God sent us His Love Letter, The Bible. And He loves His Word. And, if we will just be still, He will speak to us thru His Word. Write it out on index cards so you can read it, meditate on it, and then prayer it until it moves from your head thru your eyes, mouth and ears into your soul. Put your name in it. And then pray it some with others' names in it. Ephesians 1: 16-25. 16 (I) Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you [put your name here] the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: 18 The eyes of your [Your name goes here] understanding being enlightened; that ye [your name goes here]may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward [your name here] who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, 20 Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His Own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, [including your name if you are a believer] 23 Which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all. While these is in KJV, I would encourage you to read it in The Amplified version - which basically gives the definition for each word. You cannot honestly pray this prayer until it gets inside you without being changed. After all, we can be like the psalmist: "I will delight myself in Thy Statutes: I will not forget Thy Word."
