Bible Study for Ministry, Christian Women, and The Pastor's Wife ~ I Am Fighting to Renew My Mind, Part 3 The woman was taken to the shower room and I never saw her again. I do not know how her story continues nor ends. Her only true hope is in Jesus Christ. Not only hers, but that of the guards as well. They may not be in a cell that is home. They may not be covered with their own feces. They may eat with regular silverware. But, one day they will meet their Creator, just like you and me and if their minds have not been renewed by asking Jesus Christ to come into their hearts, they face an eternity of hell. What happened to the man that met Jesus in the graveyard, among the tombs from Mark 5? Let's pick up his story beginning with verse "6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped Him,7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with Thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that Thou torment me not. 8 For He said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. 9 And He asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. 10 And he besought Him much that he would not send them away out of the country. 11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. 12 And all the devils besought Him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. 13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. 14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done." I want to emphasize the next verse. The fierce demonic had an encounter with Jesus Christ. His mind was renewed and now we find different. "15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid." Spending time with Jesus made all the difference! Perhaps that is why we have this command - notice it is not a suggestion! Romans 12:2. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Be blessed in The Name above every name. Jesus! I know I am! Linda L Culbreth Click here for your free copy of "The Truth is My Only Recourse...is God."
