Bible Study for Ministry, Christian Women, and The Pastor's Wife ~ I Am in His Presence, Part 211/12/2014 Bible Study for Ministry, Christian Women, and The Pastor's Wife ~ I Am in His Presence, Part 2 Psalms 16: 11 "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." Monday, I asked several questions including these: If I were to quiz you, could you tell me the last time you knew God was showing you the path you need to take? How did you know that? How would you tell me the steps so I could see God's leading for myself in my life? They are some very "tuff" questions. And, I am going to give some very "tuff", but very abbreviated answers. 1.) Does the path you want to choose line up with what The Word of God says or does it not? Psalms 119:105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." If "yes", continue with the next question. If "no", and you go down that path, you are saying "No, God!" 2.) Does the path you want to choose glorify God? 1 Corinthians 10:31 "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." If "yes", continue with the next question. If "no", and you go down that path, you are saying "No, God!" 3.) Does the path you want to choose take you away from the assignment you know you already have? Nehemiah 6:3 "And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?" If "no", continue with the next question. If "yes", and you go down that path, you are saying "No, God!" 4.) Does the path you want to take demonstrates love? 1 Peter 1:22 "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently." If "yes", continue with the next question. If "no", and you go down that path, you are saying "No, God!" 5.) Does the path you want to take cause peace? Colossians 3:15 "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful." If "yes", continue. If "no", and you go down that path, you are saying "No, God!" Now, you are going to ask me two "tuff" questions: A.) Do always choose the right path? No, but I sure wish I had. B.) What about those things not specifically listed in The Word of God, i.e. - which road to take to the store, which job to take, etc.? Provided the first 4 questions are answered correctly, then I ask number 5, and go with it. Be blessed in The Name above every name, Jesus! I know I am!
