Bible Study for Ministry, Christian Women, and The Pastor's Wife ~ I Am in His Presence, Part 711/19/2014 Bible Study for Ministry, Christian Women, and The Pastor's Wife ~ I Am in His Presence, Part 7
Psalms 16: 11 "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." Ever seen someone (or been the someone) mess with a small dog or cat by using a small flashlight or red pointer light for a white board? Here's the rules: human attracts attention of small dog or any size cat with the small circle of light, either white or red. Human moves the light around, slowly at first. Small animal chases it. Human is amused. Small animal is intense. Human moves light around, over here and over there, faster and faster. Small animal forgets there is anything else in the whole, wide world, but that little circle of light. Human is more amused and makes the small animal chase the light even more, even to total exhaustion. Human knows small animal will never be able to catch it. Small animal tries even harder. Small animal crashes into wall and hurts nose and face. Or falls off back of couch and hurts paws and shoulders and other body parts. Human thinks this is hilarious and has to show everybody around or anybody that comes for a visit. While the human is roaring with laughter, the small animal is not only confused, but hurting and licks paws and body parts and rubs face with paws, trying very hard to relieve the physical pain the human is totally unaware of but caused. Humans, in their amusement, may do it without realizing the pain they are physically causing their pet. But the enemy and his hordes of fallen angels know exactly what they are doing when they can cause you or me to not be in the presence of God. They might do it through circumstances. They might do it someone's remark or actions. Maybe that driver did cut you off; and a child tells you at the last minute he needs 3 dozen cupcakes for today; or you pay the bills online and only after a few days realize you paid them from the wrong account because of overdraft notices; or someone excludes you again; or a spouse causes pain; or.... The enemy only comes "to kill, steal, and destroy." John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Stop everything! The small animal licks his or her sore nose and paws. We cannot do that - but we must get back, fully aware of His presence. And yes, when you ask Jesus to be your Savior, the Holy Spirit moves inside you and dwells there. But, the enemy can get us so focused on everything else or anything else, that we no longer can see the path nor hear His voice and no longer have fullness of joy. Be blessed in The Name above every name, Jesus! I know I am! Linda L Culbreth Eight days left. Click here for details regarding The Truth is My Only Recourse ...is God.
