Bible Study for Ministry Women, Christian Women, and The Pastor's Wife - I Am The Salt – 109/26/2014 Bible Study for Ministry Women, Christian Women, and The Pastor's Wife - I Am The Salt – 10
There is no denying that Mary did serve or her sister could not and would not have used the words "my sister hath left me to serve alone." However, Martha was more concerned with everything going on around instead of being still at Jesus' feet and knowing Him. Also an interesting tidbit to note or perhaps a question we really need to ask ourselves: Who had peace and who was in turmoil? The sister smothered in duties of being a super hostess or the one sitting quietly at the feet of Jesus? Who was re-charging the salt inside them and who didn't even realize she was losing her "saltness"? If we really do want to contain our "saltness" and our peace, we have to do it His way and not any other way. And regarding the second command in this verse, "and have peace one with another," how can we overflow with something that is in scarcity on the inside of us? John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Jesus wants us full of His salt...and His peace! And they need to never wash away with the next wave that crashes over us. Be blessed in The Name above every name, Jesus! I know I am.
