Bible Study:Christian Women & Pastors Wives; I Am In The Throne Room, Part 6
Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." "Mercy me!" "Have mercy on me!" What is mercy? Do I need it? Why? Does it even have anything to do with me? In this verse, Hebrews 4:16, what about the phrase, "That we may obtain mercy"? In the KJV version of The Bible, mercy is mentioned in some form or fashion at least 261 times. From sermon after sermon by a number of ministers, mercy means "the unmerited favor of God." I look at it this way, and maybe you do, too. I got blessed when I didn't deserve it. I remember one night, very late, driving a long way with my my youngest son, a toddler, with me. The closer I got to home, the heavier my foot became. Over a hill and around a curve, I saw the blue and red lights light up from beside the road. I deserved a ticket. (If he had been just a couple miles earlier, before I had slowed ten or fifteen miles an hour...) For whatever reason, the officer gave me a warning. That was so not what I earned. I earned that ticket! I was speeding! But I didn't get it! I am in The Throne Room because God not only has called me, but He wants me to boldly ask and obtain mercy! (Notice this is God and not the next officer that stops you for speeding.) And then, there's the matter of grace. Be blessed in The Name above every name, Jesus! I know I am! Help Needed: I have a couple of openings for the presentation, My Lady, Queen Esther," on my upcoming trip to Houston - Galveston - Humble area. Does anyone know someone who could help schedule me? I appreciate this helping hand that I know comes from God.
